Second Life Battles Counterfeit Virtual Sex Toy Claims

Two entrepreneurs, who make a living selling virtual sex goods such as clothing and toys within Second Life, are suing the games makers for allowing it to happen.  Kevin Alderman or, in Second Life, ‘Stroker Serpentine’ claims that his sex goods are among the most popular virtual products traded within the game and is alleging infringement of intellectual property rights. 


Disputes within virtual world’s such as Second Life are increasing.  Financial analyst Piper Jaffray estimates that US citizens will spend $621 million in 2009 in virtual worlds – the market for Asia is estimated at over $5 billion…
