Anti-Sex Robot Activists Demand Regulation of Sexbot Brothels

After the announcement that a Canadian sex doll company owner plans to introduce up to ten ‘sexbot brothels’ in the USA, activists there have stepped up demands for regulation. Like certain similar institutions that have sprung up in Europe recently, Yuval Gavriel intends to skirt around existing prostitution laws to open his ‘sex doll for… Read more »

Economist Claims Sex Robots Will Improve Marriage

A female economist has published a surprisingly positive, if offbeat prediction concerning the effects of sex robots on society, and in particular marriage. MGTOWs (Men Go Their Own Way) hail the advent of sex robots as freeing men from the need to marry to have regular sex. Feminists seem to fear sexbots for that very… Read more »

Samantha the Sex Robot Can Say No

Sex robot inventor Sergi Santos has reportedly equipped his sex robot Samantha with the ability to say no if she is disinterested or ‘disturbed’ by the sexual behaviour of her partner. Well, perhaps not quite say no, but rather switch off into ‘dummy mode’ whenever she detects aggressive behaviour on the part of her owner… Read more »

‘Experts’ Claim No Health Benefits of Sex Robots

Seems as though the information war against sex robots has begun in earnest. Two British doctors (why do the British so afraid of sexbots?) published a ‘study’ in an important medical journal, and which media headlines have claimed proves that sex robots are dangerous. However, the ‘study’ appears to be more their own ruminations and… Read more »

Was Sex Robot Samanatha Really Molested? Creator Speaks

You may remember that Samantha the sex robot (and rival to Harmony of Realbotix) was allegedly molested and abused so much she needed repairs after being showcased at an Austrian tech show last year. http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/article/610ec648-b348-423a-bd3c-04dc701b2985 Given the inevitable opposition to sex robots that is already evident and will grow mainfold in the years ahead, I… Read more »

Hamony The Sex Robot Can Change Faces

Matt McMullen showed off his sex robot Harmony at the CES earlier this month, and had a surprise up his sleeve – the robot’s face is ‘modular’ meaning it can be quite easily altered simply by pulling something out and putting something else back in. It’s a great idea of course. Harmony is expected to… Read more »

A documentary entitled ‘The Sex Robots Are Coming’ is to be aired on the British Channel 4 on Thursday November 30th. Love and Sex with Robots (David Levy) – Brief Book Review

An absorbing, and for the most part plausible case for love and sex with robots. The book is tremendously well researched – even to the point sometimes of being a little dry and academic. For example, when trying to pressgang the reader with a barrage of statistics into recognising the sanity of those who love… Read more »
