Virt-A-Mate is a design platform that allows users to create virtual sex scenes and games, particularly intended for VR, and perhaps at some point augmented reality. I’ve showcased it quite a lot here, and last week the latest updated version was released with some important new improvements, particularly making it easier to create realistic lighting and texture. Ross Parker on Twitter regularly highlights some of the ways that different users are creating amazingly realistic sexy VR animations with Virt-A-Mate, and you can see some of the best below.

One of the most interesting features of the software for me is the ability to transform photographs of real people into digital VR images (and presumably animate them) :
