An Interview With The Developer Behind NSFW AI Image Tool PornJoy

There are few if any NSFW image tools that produce results as consistently excellent as PornJoy does, no matter what the style, and we’ve always given it a very deserved spot here in the top five of our famous list of the best AI porn generators. One of the interesting things about PornJoy is that it is the creation of a solo developer. It still astounds me that we have reached a point in porn tech, whereby one clever person can create a tool able to generate potentially millions of images, with an endless variety of models, poses, scenes, and styles. So when I reached out to the developer with a few questions about PornJoy, and AI porn in general, I was delighted that he took the time out to answer them for ImmersivePorn.com and our readers.

Q: The first question is one that is on the lips I’m sure of every single one of our readers, and probably every male on the planet. How soon until AI porn videos? And what are the particular challenges involved in achieving a convincing AI porn video generator?

A: I believe we will see convincing AI porn videos by next summer. There are already some open-source text-to-video AI models available, but they can’t compete with human-generated videos yet. Essentially, a video is composed of many frames/images, and the most significant challenge is to generate consistent frames/images sequentially without defects. Moreover, video generation demands much more resources, making them lengthier and costlier to produce than images.

Q: What differentiates PornJoy from all the other AI porn generators out there?

A: Our primary focus is the quality of the images. Generating an image without defects or deformations remains a complex task. We strive to improve the likelihood of creating exceptional images by meticulously configuring and testing the AI models and their settings.

Q: As I understand it, PornJoy has been designed and developed completely by you alone. How difficult has it been to build a NSFW AI image generator as a solo developer, and do you see yourself building a team around you as the site grows?

A: That’s right. While it was challenging, AI tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot significantly streamlined the development process. Even for a developer with basic JavaScript skills, it took merely a month to develop the initial version of the web app.
Indeed, we plan to assemble a team in the near future.

Q: There has been a lot of speculation that AI porn might ultimately replace the current adult entertainment industry, as well as signal the end of OnlyFans and the careers of real-life erotic models and actresses. Do you think such fears are realistic? Or do you think a majority of men will always prefer to masturbate to real photos and videos and to interact with real webcam girls and OnlyFans models?

A: I’m of the opinion that AI will reshape, but not replace, the adult entertainment industry. It’ll pave the way for novel opportunities for content creators in this domain. Early adopters of AI stand to reap substantial benefits. As I see it, the unique selling proposition of image-generating AI is its ability to materialize concepts that are entirely novel, beyond human conception.

Q: There are already a couple of sites that combine NSFW image generation with AI girlfriend simulation. Do you have any plans to go in that direction at a future point?

A: Currently, our concentration is on the generation of visual content. We might pivot towards offering a virtual girlfriend experience once the technology can guarantee a superior user experience. At present, I feel the technology isn’t there yet.

Many thanks to the developer of the excellent PornJoy for answering our questions.
