In another sign that the top live cam girl sites are recognizing the potential threat of AI, Camsoda has officially launched Camsoda.ai, an AI girlfriend site that emphasizes live interaction with their digital girls. However, it’s still quite a bold move as the adult cam company behind the long-established premium platform LiveJasmin recently called it quits on their attempt at an AI girlfriend site (Cuties.ai).
Camsoda itself has a history of catching onto the latest hot sex tech trends, but not such a great track record of sticking with them. Way back in 2015 it was probably the first to launch live VR cams, but although VR has become long-established at rival webcam sites such as Stripchat, Camsoda soon abandoned their ambitions. Even more audacious was its claim in 2018 to have partnered with RealDoll to create ‘Virtual Intercourse With Real People’ (VIRP). Combining sex dolls with virtual reality to have remote sex with another person was something that was widely predicted to happen with the birth of VR porn, including by myself, but along with VIRP, it hasn’t happened. The Camsoda and Realdoll partnership went viral online, but was never heard of again.
The homepage of the Camsoda AI site features a bevy of animated babes inviting you to “Play with me”. When you click on one of the girls, you are presented with a number of options for live interaction as you see her smiling at you and making small movements such as brushing her hair. These are a selection of different actions that the AI girlfriend will perform for you, such as “bouncing”, “stripping”, or more hardcore actions such as “blowjob”, which it appears you have to become a paid member to enable. As yet, there is no live video chat or real-time audio chat – only texting.
SpicyCam.ai launched recently as an explicitly AI cam girl site, complete with a “tipping” system. Similar to the new Camsoda site, you can interact with the girls by selecting actions you wish to see them perform. Rival AI companion site aiAllure claims to offer the most advanced “live video chat” features, even promising that the AI girlfriend can “see” you and recognize facial expressions and hand gestures.
