The Syncbot is an IndieGoGo funded AI male masturbator that may just be the most revolutionary haptic sex toy ever made. It uses an innovative AI system to analyze ANY porn video selected, and then uses the information to automatically synch the toy with the action. Based upon something called ‘Convolutional Neural Networks’ (CNN), the AI of the toy can allegedly ‘detect and analyze the movement, the range of motion, estimated skeleton structure and atmosphere of the adult videos selected by users’. The Syncbot then recreates the action from the POV of the male in the video, by adjusting the intensity, tightness, and depth of the inner sleeve.
These are grand claims, and if true, then the Syncbot is indeed the most exciting new male sex toy for years. The closest we’ve come before to such an AI masturbator was the Autoblow AI, whose creator Brian Sloane promoted as being the product of machine learning algorithms analysing thousands of blowjob videos to create the ultimate blowjob. Of course, that was likely more marketing than reality (although the latest version of the Autoblow AI is now a valid smart sex toy).
There is an entire page on the Syncbot site devoted to explaining in some detail as to how the toy is able to understand and replicate the action of any porn video, whether home made or studio produced.
Previous studies had done much research of identifying human organs (of face majorly) and limbs and based on these studies the tech companies could help people to looks more attractive in photos or find out criminal behaviors in monitors however there is almost no AI research organizations mainly focus on specific sex scenes. For example, the actual motion of an actor could be dramatically varied even in a 10-second close-up, in these kinds of scenes, each penetration might go deeper or shallower slightly or obviously. The SyncBot is produced by a Hong Kong company and is available to pre-order on their Indiegogo page, at around $500, and with delivery expected in February of next year. Looking at their page, it appears only 20 people have so far pre-ordered, although they have already reached twice their initial goal of 32,100 Hong Kong dollars ($4,000 USD).
Given that pornography is illegal in China, it’s interesting that this is the work of a Hong Kong based company. It’s certainly the latest example of how AI is now really starting to revolutionize male sex tech, following on from recent developments in AI generated porn, as well as earlier deepfake porn and deepnude scandals. How long will it be before we are all having sex in AI generated VR porn worlds using haptic masturbators (and perhaps body suits) that accurately synch with the action?
