The Meta Quest 3 has high-quality color 3D depth passthrough, with 10 x more pixels than the B&W passthrough of the Quest 2, and even better resolution than the far more expensive Quest Pro. The Pico 4 VR headset has high-resolution color passthrough but does not have 3D depth, meaning it looks a bit weird. The passthrough on the Quest 3 is far from perfect and requires very good lighting in your room to be effective, but it clearly makes for an amazing ‘mixed reality’ porn experience which could ultimately prove more popular with VR porn devotees than regular fully immersive scenes.
