AI Porn In The Year 2030

Porn hasn’t really changed much over the last decade or so. Around 10 years ago, porn tubes had already become the most common means of browsing for adult content, with a handful of big sites – such as Pornhub – dominating. HD porn was ubiquitous, and it wasn’t long before 4K porn movies started appearing. In 2015, the first virtual reality porn sites were launched around the time of the release of the Oculus Rift and the Samsung Gear VR. But in truth, eight years later and VR porn hasn’t really changed much at all, aside from the resolutions improving, and remaining a quite popular niche. For most people, watching porn isn’t any different to what it was 10 or even 15 years ago.

That is all about to change.

We are about to be hit by a tsunami of developments that will combine to transform the way porn is consumed. By the end of the decade, ‘watching porn’ will be very different from today. As different as watching a 4K porn tube video online is today as from sitting in a seedy adult cinema and enjoying a blue movie in the 1960’s. In fact it will be more different. Perhaps contrasting a VR porn video of today with a B&W vintage porn photo of the late 19th century would be a more accurate comparison.

The Rise Of the Virtual Girlfriend

The sudden rise of AI porn may have put the previous next big thing – virtual reality porn- in the shade somewhat, but in the longer term, it’s going to be the thing which turns VR porn, as well as AR porn, into the mainstream. We are likely just weeks away from the long-awaited announcement of Apple’s VR/AR headset. Over the next decade, slim and comfortable AR headsets, if not AR glasses, will be commonly worn inside the home. Apple, like Meta and others, believe such devices will be on the way to replacing smartphones, pcs, and televisions, by the year 2030. But it’s not just other digital devices that they will be replacing. They may be replacing your wife, or your girlfriend too.

Imagine sitting on your sofa in the year 2030, and being able to summon up your ideal girlfriend, out of thin air, just by describing her in a few words or ‘prompts’. You say out loud – ‘A blonde 19 year old Swedish language exchange student, intelligent and a little bit nerdy, likes to wear short skirts, same interests as me, has been dating me for several months.’ Near instantly, like magic, she appears in front of you – a 3D ‘holographic’ girl exactly as described, ready to have a conversation with you as though she was really your girlfriend, and knew as much about you as a real girl who had been dating you for several months. You could have a new girl be summoned up like that every day, or every hour, or you could build a relationship with the same virtual girl over time. You could interact with her both verbally, and ‘physically’. If you think it’s outlandish to believe such virtual girlfriends are only 7 years away, consider how close we are already.

using chatGPT to talk to my good friend in VR. A developer in New York announced last week the launch of a sex bot chat site called FapAI, which allows you to have realistic chats with eight different erotic personalities.

As I predicted here last month, we are already seeing the start of an invasion of AI sex chat bots. We have even seen the first virtual girlfriend based upon a real person, able to form relationships with thousands of men simultaneously.

Fully AI Generated VR Porn Videos

Of course, virtual girlfriends are one (fantastic) thing, but many will still want to jerk off to a porn video. How close are we to AI generated porn videos, and will they replace real actresses and actors? Well, we are very close. With the astonishing pace of advancement in generative AI, it’s impossible to predict, but it appears that most experts believe watchable AI generated videos with entertaining scripts and characters are certainly coming in the next couple of years. There have already been rudimentary proof of concepts of this. For example, and AI version of Seinfield appeared several months agoo, in which everything – including the jokes and the canned studio laughter – were AI generated.

The leader in text to AI generated video tools is currently Runway. It’s probably fair to say that we are at the same point with AI generated video right now, as we were with AI generated images only 6 months ago. Check out the video below that was posted on Reddit recently.

AI Video is here and will change the landscape for entertainment, VR. By the end of the decade it will be the dominate form of media.

Progress may not quite be as fast as with static images. And another issue is the server resources such videos will consume. We may not see a proliferation of free porn video generators as we have with AI porn image generators. Despite this, I learned today that one AI porn generator is already offering AI generated videos. And when you consider the future, it’s easy to see why there has been specualation that a recent take over of Pornhub was due to the ridiculous potential of AI generated porn video. While AI porn image tools have been largely solo developer Patreon projects, it’s likely we will see the big boys such as Pornhub carry forward AI video porn. All these points apply even more so to AI generated VR porn, which will come soon after AI video.

So Will AI Replace Real Women?

As far as the question as to whether AI video will replace real porn actors and actresses, we can only speculate at this point. Many claim, just as they do with the virtual girlfriends described above, that most men will prefer the psychology of watching or interacting with a real female human, in order to be sexually satisfied. I believe such a point of view ignores just how amazing AI generated porn videos will be, and just how intimate and satisfying AI girlfriends can become. AI porn videos can be of infinite variety, tailored to your personal kinks and tastes, finetuned over and over again, featuring your dream babes. They can be interactive, and in virtual or augmented reality. Another point regarding the supposed ‘missing psychological element of real women’, controversial though it may be, is that as we know, these AI models are trained upon real data, and real human beings. So the AI porn fantasy you are creating, will in some fundamental sense, be based upon real actors and actresses, and the thousands upon thousands of porn videos the AI systems has been trained upon. Furthermore, porn actresses, celebrities, models, and ‘influencers’ can consent to sell not only their image to be used in adult AI, but even their personalities, as was seen this week with Caryn Marjorie becoming the first AI cloned virtual sexbot.

Regarding virtual girlfriends, not only can you tailor her to your specific vision of an ideal companion, but she will tailor herself to your needs and personality. She will know you better than any real lover ever could, and even better than you know yourself. The evolutionary psychologist Rob Brooks makes the case for this rather convincingly, in his book ‘Artificial Intimacy‘.

You Can Look…And Touch – AI Interaction

Of course, virtual girlfriends and AI characters in VR porn worlds will be great, but what we would really all like is to be able to touch them, and even fuck them. Well artificial intelligence will make this possible too. Already, ‘scripts’ for the synching of haptic sex toys with porn videos, are being done entirely with AI. It will also quickly enable the science of haptics in virtual reality to progress, in order to accurately and instantly recreate all the sensations of touch, most likely employing ultrasound technology. There are a number of companies working on this right now, such as Touchless and Ultraleap.

The developments in porn tech, driven by AI and embracing VR and AR, are going to be amazing over the next decade. Of course, it remains to be seen to what extent this will be allowed by campaigners, anti-porn lobbyists, and regulators.
