VirtualRealPorn, which was the very first VR porn site ten years ago, has now become the first to release a ‘spatial porn’ scene for the Apple Vision Pro. What’s more, it’s free to download from their site right now. Excitingly, this is apparently the first of many regular spatial porn videos that the company plans to film and release.
The’spatial VR’ videos that play on the Apple Vision Pro are markedly different from the stereoscopic VR porn we have all become used to over the last decade. In spatial VR, you are not limited to simply moving your head around, but rather there is some degree of ability to’move around’ the scene. Spatial videos should also have more realistic depth, including when the actress is close to the viewer’s face, such as in kissing scenes.
Spatial videos also dramatically increase the potential of passthrough AR porn scenes. VirtualRealPorn apparently has plans to allow the viewer to see his own hands during the scene, and introduce some interactive elements.
Whilst these spatial VR porn videos are obviously intended to be played on the Apple Vision Pro headset, VirtualRealPorn have stated clearly that, contrary to media reports, all their existing library of stereo VR videos can be viewed on the Vision Pro too. All that is needed is a video player that plays 180/360 videos.
‘Spicy Pixels’ Converts ANY 2D Video Into 3D Spatial
In further exciting news for VR porn fans, and especially those with Apple Vision Pro headsets, a new tool has been launched that can convert ANY 2D porn video into a 3D spatial video for viewing on either the Vision Pro or the Meta Quest. The team behind Spicy Pixels claim that any length of video can be uploaded to their cloud servers and converted into stereo 3D, and then into a spatial video. Subjects, including people, can also be cut out of the scene so the video can be experienced in augmented reality.
The team kindly gave me some demo videos to try out, and once I’ve done that over the next few days, I’ll publish a longer article on Spicy Pixels next week.
