Why Is Transsexual VR Porn So Popular?

There are currently six virtual reality porn sites devoted to trans porn. This can be contrasted with just two gay porn sites (three if you include ‘StudsVR‘ which only released a few videos several years ago and hasn’t updated since). One of the two ‘active’ gay sites hasn’t updated since early last year. The only active gay VR site is VirtualRealGay, and even that does not update quite as regularly as the same studio’s trans VR porn site ‘VirtualRealTrans‘. On the other hand, five of the six TS VR porn sites are still active, with GroobyVR still updating once a week like VirtualRealTrans.

Although transsexual porn in general is a hugely popular niche, the audience for 2D gay porn is many times bigger. The imbalance between gay and trans porn also doesn’t exist in 4K. Although there are a handful of 4K trans sites, there are a large number of 4K gay sites, and gay studios were among the first adopters of 4K UHD (and indeed, producer Dominic Ford pioneered not only 3D stereo and 4K gay porn, but also shot some gay VR movies – his site is now defunct).

So why should trans porn be so popular, or at least active, in VR as compared to regular 2D porn? There could be many possible reasons. Perhaps it’s more difficult for a man attracted to transsexuals, to fuck a transsexual in real life, than it is for a gay man to have sex in the real world. Thus virtual reality, with its promise of an experience very close to the real thing, might be particularly attractive for men wishing to fulfill their hard to obtain desires – in this case, transsexual sex. It’s noticeable that one of the most popular heterosexual VR porn sites – Virtual Taboo- is devoted to taboo themes of stepfamily sex. Another sexual fantasy that is obviously difficult to play out in real life.

Other niches and ‘fetishes’ have proved popular in VR, perhaps more so than in 2D, and in the case of fetishes such as upskirts, face sitting, and pissing, would likely be even more popular if it wasn’t for the difficulty of filming such things in VR.

Back in the 2016 and the early days of VR porn, there was some discussion as to whether the new medium would encourage certain paraphilias that are not really possible in the physical world. One such fetish brought up was macrophilia – a sexual attraction to giant people, usually men desiring giant women.

Virtual reality is not just going to transform gaming and education – people with a specific sexual paraphilia whereby they derive sexual arousal from fantasies about giants have realised that the technology could be the best way to bring their fantasies to life.

People who fantasise about having sex with individuals that are far taller than themselves are known as “Macrophiles”, and according to Psychology Today, the fetish is becoming increasingly popular. Most macrophiles tend to be heterosexual males who are sexually attracted to female giantesses, but they can also derive sexual stimulation from even non-sexual scenarios.

It’s pretty difficult to indulge in a sexual fetish when the object of your fantasy doesn’t exist, so for years macrophiles have had to rely on comics, Japanese anime cartoons called “Hentai”, and more recently, soft porn actresses who have realised a niche in the market that needs filling….

Although that hasn’t really happened yet in VR, I can see that it perhaps will soon in augmented reality, where already marcrophiles can easily pinch and zoom their AR girls to be as tall as their ceilings.

I asked the question as to why trans VR porn is so popular at Reddit OculusNSFW and I received this interesting reply :

I’ve read a couple of interesting articles about TS porn and why it appeals to a broader audience, and a few of the salient points were:

Males who identify as exclusively heterosexual watch TS porn and think of the TS performers as females or at least so significantly different from a man that she won’t trigger their aversion to male-on-male sex acts.

The fact that the female performer has a penis is viewed as a means of “proving pleasure” – if her cock is hard and she ejaculates, this is better evidence of sexual arousal and real pleasure than any amount of moaning and “female ejaculation” by CIS-female porn stars.

Some males who identify as exclusively heterosexual seek out TS porn where the actresses are petite and present as very femme. Bisexual men don’t discriminate as much in their scene selection.

Men who are comfortable around/familiar with transsexual people and consider them as equals have a lower threshold of accepting TS porn.

Men who are less comfortable around TS people can be attracted to TS porn because it triggers their feelings of “taboo”, in a similar way to how some people are turned on by ageplay or incest porn. It becomes their “dirty secret”.

The theory that straight-identifying males are more prone to be closet homosexuals if they watch TS porn is a myth. Those men go for the gay porn directly. 🙂
